My recent academic interests are the influence of advanced medical technology on the life of the patients, their families and their community. Especially, I have been studied the health status and their experience of Japanese living donor of living donor liver transplantation (LDLT).
Different from other countries, LDLT is major of liver transplantaion in Japan. Excellent Medical technology like surgical techniques & regimens of immnosupuression drugs saved many recipients' lives. But I revealed that the lack of medical and/or social support for their donors would make donor's Quality of life worse. Moreover, the support for donors losted their recipient is required urgently.
